We work on the billing operation you already have.

Precision Billing offers consulting to billing companies, RCM companies and provider practices that do their own billing. We cover training, operations, coding and billing. We also develop plug-ins, automations and local AI systems for these organizations. Kelly Greco, the firm's CEO and founder, leads the work. She has run a billing company since 2003 and holds the CPC, COC and CPMA credentials.

For billing companies, RCM companies and provider practices.

Training

For providers, coders and billing staff. Most of it is built around your organization. Basic modules for purchase are on the way.

Operations, coding and billing

How the work moves from the patient's first call to the last appeal, and the documentation, coding, claims, denials and appeals along the way.

Development

Plug-ins, automations and local AI systems, built for your organization.

Your current workflow is the starting point.

For a practice or a company that keeps its own billing. On a consulting basis we develop the revenue cycle workflow you already run, one stage at a time.

Patient access

What is verified and collected before the visit: benefits, authorizations and their expiration dates.

Documentation and coding

What the note has to say for the code to stand, and how a coding question gets back to the provider.

Claims

What is checked before a claim goes out, and how rejections are worked when they come back.

Payment posting

Posting reconciled to what was expected, so a short payment is noticed and followed up.

Denials and appeals

Telling a denial from an adjustment, routing it by reason code, and writing the appeal in the payer's own policy language.

Reporting

The reports that show where the work is slipping: aged A/R by payer, denial trends and adjustments.

Training built around your organization

A lot of training has to be built around the organization it is for: its specialty, its payers and its system. Some of it can be the same for everyone.

Built for your organization

  • Training videos specific to your organization
  • One-on-one sessions with Kelly Greco
  • Written procedures built from those videos for your own system
  • Coding and billing reviews
  • A review of how your EMR or billing system is set up

What we already teach our clients

  • Annual code-set updates: CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS
  • Specialty documentation
  • E/M leveling under current guidelines
  • Modifiers and high-risk codes
  • Onboarding sessions for new staff

Basic modules, and other training that can be the same for everyone, will be offered for purchase as they are released.

The consultant runs a billing company.

Kelly Greco founded Precision Billing in 2003 and still leads it. The advice comes from someone who works claims, remittances, appeals and audits for the firm's own clients, and who has prepared expert analysis when a bill was disputed.

She also designed the firm's own automation and its secure local AI, so a workflow recommendation comes with a view on what can be automated and what should stay with a person.

What we can build for you

Consulting can include development. The firm's founder designs and builds plug-ins, automations and local AI systems for the organizations she consults to.

Plug-ins

For the EMR or billing system you already use.

Automations

For the steps in your workflow that do not need a person.

Local AI systems

AI that runs inside your own environment, the way Rook runs inside ours.

Rook's denial management

Rook is the firm's own AI and automation workbench. We will be offering its denial management to EMR companies, RCM companies and in-house billing staff, to run in their own environment. It will never be one size fits all, so we are taking the names of interested organizations and developing a solution to meet their system requirements and needs.

How a consulting engagement works

The scope and the price are agreed in writing before the work starts.

  1. The inquiry

Tell us what you run and what you want to change. The form on this page goes to the founder.

  2. A written scope

What will be looked at, what you will receive, and the price. Where the work touches patient information, a Business Associate Agreement is signed first.

  3. The work

Done with the people who run the workflow, in the system they already use.

  4. What you keep

Findings, written procedures and training your staff go on using after the engagement ends.

Tell us what you run.

Your organization, the system you work in, and what you want to change or build. What you tell us also shapes what we develop next.

Please leave patient information out of this form.
